Mark Alva Oathout has practiced intellectual property law for over 35 years and has extensive experience in counseling a wide range of clients in these matters both in the US and abroad. He initiated his career working with corporate lawyers for roughly six years. Mark has a diverse view toward the business needs of clients within the context of an ever changing global intellectual property landscape.

Mark has three children. He has been a youth sports coach, volunteered at the Texas Reading Institute, and helped in the renovation of an inner-city, public school, athletic facility. He was raised in Colorado where his youthful job experiences included hauling water through a 40,000-head cattle feedlot, painting street lines for the city of Greeley, Colorado & weeding bean/corn fields during summers in Iowa.
